Field Trip

This year's Bay Beach field trip is scheduled for May 25th.


Summer School

The first session of summer school will run from June 12th through June 30th.  Classes are held Monday through Friday.
The second summer school session will run from July 31st through August 18th.  These classes are also held Monday through Friday.

Registration opens on April 10th at 6:00 p.m. and will remain open until May 31st.


Field Trip

On March 31st.  2nd Grade students will be going on a field trip to the Weidner Center.


Mr. Harper read "The Polar Express" to the whole school.

Brown County Police officers and their horses came to visit the Elementary students during their lunch recess.

About Denmark Elementary School

The Denmark Elementary School was built in 1970. It houses first through fifth grades. Hands-on science using Einstein kits, a balanced literacy program, the Everyday Math Program, and technology are ongoing areas of improvement for the Elementary School. The staff is committed to improving student learning in a child-friendly atmosphere. A supportive Parent/Teacher Organization is an asset to the students and staff.

Specialists in the areas of Art, Media Center, Keyboarding/Computers, Physical Education, and Music service the Denmark Elementary School. In addition, the school offers comprehensive services in Special Education. The school also has a comprehensive Pupil Services program.

The Denmark Elementary School is committed to having all students read at or above grade level at the conclusion of third grade. The Literacy Coordinator and Reading Recovery Program complement the balanced Literacy Program.

Special Programs

Denmark Elementary School places a major emphasis on the development of literacy. In addition, students may elect to become involved in the following activities:

  • Battle of the Books – Fifth Grade
  • Community Activities – All Grades
  • Destination Imagination – All Grade Levels      
  • Peace Keeping Kids – Fourth and Fifth Grades  
  • Safety Patrol – Fifth Grade
  • School Store – Fifth Grade
  • Spring Discovery Fair – All Grades
  • Student Council –Fourth and Fifth Grades
  • Summer School – All Grades

Parent Involvement Opportunities

  • Denmark Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization - President – Kristin Olsen  
  • Classroom Visitation – Parents are welcome to visit and observe classes at any time. Registration is required in the office before observing in a classroom.

Parent may schedule a conference with a teacher outside of the established conference dates. Contact the teacher for a conference request.
