About Denmark Middle School
The Denmark Middle School was built in 1993 and houses grades six through eight. Students are assigned to a grade level interdisciplinary team. The interdisciplinary team leaders consist of teachers in the areas of communication arts, mathematics, physical education, social studies, and science. Each grade level of core classes has common planning to coordinate the students’ educational programs.
In addition, foreign language, fine arts, and vocational classes complement the core areas. The program is designed to help students gradually make the transition from the Elementary School and to the High School by offering a variety course offerings, group composition, and teaming. An Advisor/Advisee Program is in place to serve as a support group for students during their Middle School experience.
8th Grade Promotion ceremony
May 8, 2015
Dear Parents/Guardians of 8th Graders,
You are cordially invited to attend the 8th grade promotion ceremony on Thursday, June 4, 2015. The promotion ceremony is scheduled to take place from 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. and will be held in the middle school gymnasium.
At this ceremony students will receive their certificates of promotion along with other special awards of distinction they may have earned this year.
At the end of the promotion ceremony, students may go home with their parents after they check out with their 8th grade homeroom teacher to ensure all overdue fees/accounts have been taken care of. Students may only leave with their parent/guardian. They may not leave with friends.
We hope you will be able to join us for this informal, yet special ceremony honoring our 8th grade students.
