Welcome!

Follow this page for ongoing updates about design and construction of our referendum projects.

On November 8, 2022, the Denmark community voted to approve two referendum questions. Thank you!

Question 1 renewed the operational referendum at $925,000 annually through the 2025-26 school year.

Question 2 is for an addition and renovation at Denmark Elementary School at a total of $31 million.

This support allows the District to borrow funds to construct an addition on the existing Elementary school and close the Early Childhood Center (ECC) building.

The plan would also improve the safety of the pick-up and drop-off areas and reduce traffic congestion in the neighborhood. The addition will:

  • Provide classrooms and support areas specifically designed for early childhood students

  • Build a cafeteria and multi-purpose gym for students in 4K through fifth grade

  • Reconfigure drop-off and pick-up areas

  • to improve safety by better separating bus traffic and pedestrians.

  • Plan for a second story on the addition to accommodate future enrollment growth

  • Provide a dedicated secure entrance to better monitor and control visitor access

November 2022 - Planning & Design

Since the referendum passed, the District has moved into design planning with our partners at Bray Architects and Miron Construction. The core planning team has established a bi-weekly design meeting schedule to continue to develop the project scope and schedule.

Members of the planning team toured schools in Wrightstown, Green Bay, Sevastopol and Oostburg to help inform the vision for our school. Staff input is an important part of the school design process. The staff planning groups will start to engage in January and will continue until spring

Groundbreaking Celebration – August 9 at 9:30am!

We are planning a community event to celebrate the start of construction at the Elementary School. Please join us for the ceremony, refreshments and kids activity.
