Mrs. Novak and her second grade students took a break from "hard work" in their classroom to see if any of the construction workers needed a break on Tuesday of homecoming a week.

Peter Pan is always losing his shadow! Our "100 Years Of Disney" Summer School Students cut out shapes from black paper and glued it to straws or toothpicks to create their shadow puppets. Then they used white paper, flashlights, and just a bit of pixie dust to make their shadows come to life.
Xylophones, metallophones and glockenspiels oh my! Students have been working on hand and eye coordination, as well as doing some fun songs with 8 notes.
We are also incorporating Japanese ideas with the pentatonic scale and Borduns....

Summer's a Treat! Our Students are having a "tasty" time in Summer School this week learning about cupcake decorating! In this class they get to create something that not only tastes great, but looks beautiful too!
In January this year, we asked students to tap into their creativity and submit their own yearbook covers, using the theme: Super Hero. There were so many artistic and talented submissions... but we had to narrow it down to the top 10. Staff then voted, and the top 2 covers were used for the yearbook. Congratulations to Jackson Fidler and Arie Busch who were our front and back cover winners! Our other 8 finalists are also recognized here for their creative submittals! Our Denmark Elementary Students really are Super Heroes!
Congratulations to 5th Grader, Hunter Winnekens! He is this year's Fuel Up To Play 60 leader and won an autographed football by future Hall of Famer, Mason Crosby #2. Way to go, Hunter!!
Our Elementary students had the pleasure of honoring the accomplishments of our Seniors this past week during the HS Senior Walk!
These 3rd grade students enjoyed checking out all the tractors on "Bring your Tractor to School" Day. Many of our elementary classes ventured out to the parking lot to see the variety of machinery!
In May, our 3rd Grade Students enjoyed a trip to explore the local natural beauty of Maribel Caves!
Denmark Readers are Leaders! Congratulations to our 5th grade teams that battled for the title of "Battle Of The Books Champion". It was a fantastic display of knowledge of Book titles and authors by Team Triple A and Team Book Worms, but the Triple A's secured their trophy with a final score of 105 - 66. Our High School Pep Band gave us an amazing performance last week, playing several songs for our Elementary students Thursday afternoon. What a great way to boost our Denmark School Spirit!!
