Declaration of Candidacy -

An election is to be held in the Denmark School District, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.

Office Terms

The term of office for the School Board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 20, 2026. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.

For Candidates

A CF-1 Campaign Registration Statement and EL-162sd Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the office of the school district.

Notification of Noncandidacy

Must be filed by an incumbent no later than 5:00 pm, on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Primary Election

If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Important Dates

  • December 1, 2025 to January 6, 2026 - Election candidates may file Campaign Registration Statements, Declarations of Candidacy

  • December 26, 2025 - Deadline for incumbents to fill notice of Noncandidacy

  • January 6, 2026 - Candidate Deadline for filing all documents needed to establish eligibility to appear on the ballot

  • February 17, 2026 - Spring Primary Election (if needed)

  • April 7, 2026 - Spring Election

  • April 27, 2026 - Newly Elected School Board Members take Office
