The School District of Denmark Board of Education is Seeking to Fill an Upcoming Open School Board Vacancy.
The School District of Denmark is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to serve on the Board of Education. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our schools, support our educators, and ensure every student has the tools to succeed.
The Role
The Board of Education is responsible for the governance of the school district, including:
Setting Policy: Establishing the vision and goals for the district.
Fiscal Oversight: Approving the annual budget and ensuring financial stability.
Advocacy: Representing the community’s voice in educational decision-making.
Qualifications
To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must be:
A citizen of the United States.
At least 18 years of age.
A resident of the School District of Denmark for at least 28 consecutive days prior to appointment.
A qualified elector within the district.

Interested candidates should submit a Letter of Interest and a brief Statement of Qualifications outlining their background and why they wish to serve on the Board.

Selection: The Board will review applications and plans to make a selection at the June 15, 2026 Board meeting. The selection of the Board would take the seat as soon as they are sworn in after June 15, 2026.
Note: This appointment will fill the vacancy until the next spring election on April 6, 2027, at which time the seat will be up for election for the remainder of the term.
