Robotics

Denmark High School has a variety of student clubs and co-curriculars to be a part of! Below is a current list of clubs and activities our students can participate in.

Robotics

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

In Robotics, we design, build and program robots to compete in yearly VEX Robotics Competitions.  You will work as a team to increase your engineering, computer programming and problems solving skills.

Digital Media and Marketing Club

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Digital Media and Marketing club is a dynamic and inclusive student-led club aimed at fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration among students. We believe that every student has unique talents and perspectives to offer, and through this club, we aim to provide a platform for them to showcase their abilities, learn from one another, and make a positive impact in our school community. Students would participate in providing advertisement materials for the school such as promotional posters, large print photography, and informational posters for classroom materials. Students will also choose 1 to 2 fundraising opportunities to further their community involvement while raising funds to continue the club's work.  

Boys and Girls Golf

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Learn the rules and etiquette of a lifelong sport.

Denmark LEO's

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Student organization of the Lions Club.  Volunteering is a key part of this organization. Students complete service projects that better the Denmark community. Projects are done during school and after school. 

Global Scholars Program

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

The Wisconsin Global Scholars Program Certificate is awarded to graduating high school students who have demonstrated a strong interest in global citizenship by successfully completing a global education curriculum and engaging in co-curricular activities and experiences that foster the development of global competencies. This group will meet periodically to support students who would like to become Global Scholars and is also open to any students who would like to join in activities that focus on global communities.

StingCancer

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

This is a club that helps people effected by cancer. We send out baskets to cancer patients, we donate Chemo bags to hospitals, do random things for people to help them with things while going to Cancer treatments. We also help out at some community events such as the Booyah Cookoff and Meat Raffles. There is a StingCancer walk in May and other school events like Pink Out for Volleyball and making/delivering cookie trays which happen during the school year. 

Student Council

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Student Council is an organization that acts as the collective voice for the student population at Denmark High School.  We hold multiple events throughout the year to improve school spirit and make connections with the Denmark Community.

Intramurals

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Intramural season occurs between the fall-winter and winter-spring sports schedule and gives students the opportunity to play in a selected team activity.  These activities are chosen by the students themselves.

Model United Nations

Grades that can participate: Grade 11

Model UN allows members to act as a designated nation in choosing policies to tackle a predetermined issue. 

Art Club

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Art projects and holiday themed crafts - anyone and everyone is welcome!

ID Club

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Use this club to learn more about identity and hangout in a safe space. 

Theatre/Musical

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Auditions for this year’s Spring Play will be held Monday, Jan. 19th and Tuesday, Jan. 20th in the PAC from 3:30 to 5:30 both days. Call backs if needed will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21st in the PAC from 3:30-4:30. Audition packets will be available for pick up Monday, Jan. 12th. Please check out the DHS Play Facebook page for clues to this year’s play.

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

This club raises money and sponsors to fill the milk fridge for athletics after sports practices or workouts. We also put up posters around the school to promote healthy eating habits and visit the 5th graders with a presentation in the spring about healthy eating.

Ice Fishing Club

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

Ice fishing at a competitive level.  We will be teaching all things ice fishing from ice safety, using electronics, to bait selection and knot tying so you can compete against other high school teams.

Link Crew

Grades that can participate: Grade 11

Link Crew is a program to help freshmen feel welcome and help them navigate High School.

Denmark Archery Club

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

We are a target based archery club that provides a safe environment to improve your archery skills.

FFA

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

FFA is a premier student-led organization, that helps prepare members for leadership roles and helps them grow personally, to develop critical career and leadership skills needed in the future.

Trap Team

Grades that can participate: All Grades (9th-12th)

The Denmark Viking Trap Team is affiliated with the Wisconsin Clay Target League and USA Clay Target League. The team has a Fall Season and a Spring Season. Members shoot 50 clays per week. Spring Season starts mid March and Fall Season Starts in the beginning of September. Participants can compete in one or both seasons as the with.
