Principal's Message

I am honored to serve as the principal of Denmark High School and to join a school community with such a strong reputation for excellence. Over the past six years, I have served at Xavier High School, first as Associate Principal and most recently as Interim Principal. Prior to that, I was the principal of a PK–8 school in Janesville.  My parents were both born and raised in Wisconsin, but I grew up in Wyoming and began my educational journey teaching social studies in a public school in the southeast suburbs of Denver.  I am lucky to be married to my wife, Katie, and we have two wonderful little girls, Annie and Mary Kathryn.  In the free time I have, I enjoy being with family and spending time outdoors.  Oh, and I am a complete golf nut!

I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of learning, and that every student deserves a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where they are known, challenged, and supported. I’m committed to high-quality instruction, and meaningful collaboration with families and staff to help all students grow into capable, responsible, and compassionate individuals.  As the high school principal, I will work to build a culture of trust, belonging, and high expectations.  I want students to be pushed to grow, teachers to be supported to lead, and families to be valued as partners in every child’s success.

I’m genuinely excited to connect with our students, staff, and families.  Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do, and I look forward to getting to know the people and stories that make this school community so special. My door is always open—please feel free to stop by and say hello. It’s an honor to serve as principal and to carry forward the proud legacy of responsibility, respect, and safety that defines the Denmark School District.
