Students studying biology spent the last two classes learning about the double helix structure of DNA and the scientists that made this discovery. After using paper to model the base pairs, students were tasked with using Marshmallows, Gummy Bears, and Licorice to create a 3D model of a DNA strand. Following a template and creating a complementary strand made for high quality learning and review and a tasty snack!
