On August 9th, 2022, Dylan Matyshak was awarded the "2022 Tony Maggiore Youth Excellence Award." This award is given to a youth that demonstrates perseverance and determination. Dylan was nominated by Mrs. Reckelberg after she saw his transformation upon graduation from The Challenge Academy. This award recognizes a youth person, having prior contact with the juvenile justice system, that has achieved personal success and has made positive contributions to their community. Dylan Matyshak graduated from Denmark High School in 2022 after completing programming for 6 months at the Wisconsin National Guard Challenge Academy. Dylan was given the award from Governor Evers himself, congratulating him on overcoming adversity and making positive changes in his life.
